Monday we departed Shaver Lake and headed to Oakhurst, spending the night there we headed in to Yosemite Park on Hwy-41. First stop was Mariposa- Grove of the Giant Sequoias.
Pictures do not adequately capture the massive size of these trees.
While the Labor Day crowds had subsided it was still very hectic and we spent a lot of time in the Yosemite Valley dodging tourists and tourists on bikes.
In the valley the road ‘loops’ through and much of it is one-way but still two lanes. It was obviously more than one Sikhs driver could handle and he was driving down the wrong way. He was flashing his lights at everyone as if that made a difference.
Lucky no U-Turns were attempted and we all survived.
