Just ordered a scan tool for the day it happens dealer charges $195 diagnostic fee 🤬 can’t do much without a good scanner these days .
I'm about to do the same. What scanner did you buy if you don't mind me asking? I have looked into the Horrid Fraught scanners but thats about it.

I like the Autel brand off Amazon, I have an older unit I bought for my 2010 JKU, it has ABS auto bleed.
With the 2018 JLU, upgraded to the Autel MaxiCOM MK900, pricey but it's come in very handy with all the bullshit on this Jeep and it also supports the JK.
Whatever you get, make sure it supports your year make and model, and look at the diagnostics it offers.
I bought one for the JLU prior to this one and it offered some support but none of the advanced diagnostics this unit does
