Different in that there’s been so many assassination attempts in such a short span of time, coupled with the daily barrage of vitriol towards us and now this, a successful assassination. It’s overwhelming. It feels terrible knowing it’s only going to get worse.

Different in the sense that he was a kid talking politics and made zero decisions for America. I understand peoples hate toward Trump and Vance but a kid talking politics?

For me, he was just a good kid who loved his faith and America and had a passion for engaging people who thought differently than him. He purposefully went into the lions den, places where he would be hated and with the hope of having an honest conversation/debate. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if all this is a result of someone who just got butthurt over something he said or how he made them feel and in part, I think that's what really bothers me.

This literally could have been anyone who has a differing opinion and is vocal about it.

100% agree. Shakes me to the core. Especially feels horrible thinking how his kids have to grow up without a dad.
