unable to remove the fill bolt on rear differential

Got the rear fill plug off. It's a new Jeep that's 2 yrs old and I've done one water crossing since I'm not into them really so I elected to just drain and fill. My commute heated up the axle just fine. ask my shoulder that got burned on the muffler... It was still stuck so I did a little ghetto thing and put a piece of pipe on the end of the ratchet for some leverage and it loosened in two turns! So heat and leverage, no fire or hammers. Took two bottles of oil for the D44. No chunks on the drain plug magnet. You gotta be in shape working on the concrete under a JK or not have child rearing hips. LOL, LOL. Need to hit the lotto so I can have a fully loaded garage like some of people here.

LOL!! Glad to hear you were able to get the bolt off using a cheater pipe and working on a warm cover. Nice job :thumb:

You can go grab a cheap creeper from harbor freight, it makes life a tad bit easier in certain situations.

I tried with just the warm cover before the chatter bar and admit my 20 something temper started creeping up on me and had a hammer been near me, I probably would have done it out of frustration.

That's what my junior engineers call "percussive maintenance."

LOL!! Leverage is your friend. :yup:

Oh, then I almost fell asleep under the Jeep. That creeper is a bad ideal probably.
lol I fell asleep when I put my left on it just happened to be the hottest year on record in Texas so I'm not sure if I passed out or actually fell asleep all I know is I woke up and hit my head, creeper with a pillow headrest may be too comfy :cheesy:
