And if I remember correctly you run some of the heaviest 35s one can buy... Several 37s weigh more.

A buddy is running the same combo as you and the spots started to fail at about 25k miles (with the 35s, 35k was on the Jeep) I helped him weld a plate that had holes across it that lined up with spot locations. I then welded in the holes like a plug weld. He painted the gate and has been running this way for a year. IT seems to have really helped reinforce the gate. Best part... Total cost was less than $20!

Yeah it's not light that's for sure. My setup is about 110 pounds and has been setup properly since the first day I put it on there. Over time though I knew it would happen.

Of all the ones suggested, the only one I've seen is the Or fab carrier on my buddies JK. solid unit. I was too scared to do the install and was apprehensive about how permanent drilling body work is.

I just recently installed the Or Fab and love how it looks and operates. Definitely a solid piece. Install was a PIA and I am not a "natural" at this sort of thing, but I got it done by myself. Just this last weekend put on the 3rd break light extension and it looks good as well. Now I have a solid carrier, and time to save for the bumper upgrade and the move from 33's to 35's.
