I totally agree with you! The rapidly increasing debt is this country's current largest risk. Notice that we recently lost our AAA credit rating (similar to 2008) but no one seems to be paying attention. This is very serious given that our impression of being a "rich" country depends on how credit-worthy we are.

It is necessary to cut programs, including benefits programs, so that the country can exist within its means.

Hardly any spending was removed from the government. The only way to reduce spending significantly is via an act of Congress, but this far they have spectacularly failed.

nothing like getting kicked in the sac after working to vet out waste, take a personal and business stock beating for helping vet out waste then have a bill presented that increases the budget by a minimum of 4 trillion which, IMO is more likely closer to 10 trillion as those numbers are always calculated under ideal conditions that all factors align and continue to align.

Also, I'm fucking pissed off that I keep getting threatening texts that I will not receive a $5000 doge check if I do not respond to Trump's request which is a donation to the RNC - fuck them all at this point.

The other can have the first deported and freeze all his U.S. assets.

And the list thing, the Clinton's are STILL the most afraid of that list.
 
I’m pissed but not shocked. It’s the same old bullshit and nothing is going to come of this administration. There was so many promises and so much hype that we were going to get the country on the right track this time. Alas, they are all fucking crooks and there’s nothing we can do to clean it save a revolution… and nobody has the balls to do that in this day and age. Womp womp
 
To be clear, I am NO FAN of the OBBB and not just because of all the crazy spending. What I am a BIG FAN of is DOGE and what Elon was trying to do with it. That said and to be fair, the orange man bad ran on things like closing the border, tax cuts, rebuilding our military - not "balancing the budget". DOGE and cutting out waste was all Elon during the election and I would be the first to say that his ideas spoke to me but this isn't his presidency. So, to that, I can't say that I'm pissed about anything - not even shocked. Disappointed for sure but then like a good friend of mine always says, "the enemy of good is perfect". There's nothing perfect about what the orange man bad is and or has been doing since getting elected but I would argue there is quite a bit of good and it's a lot more than I've seen in a very long time. If the future of America is really so important to Elon, none of what he's doing now is helping nor will it help in the future. I think he could have still been critical of the GOP and the OBBB but him going off the deep end kinda gets me thinking there's something else going on - maybe something personal. But then, that's just me.
