Pet Peeves - What Pisses You Off?

As I've mentioned before, what I hate most about smokers isn't so much that they "smoke" or that it stinks but rather, it's that MOST are fuckin litter bugs! I absolutely HATE that they just throw their used up shit out the window of their vehicles or throw them on the ground like nobody is gonna care.

That said, I am all about the 2nd Amendment but what I absolutely HATE about a LOT of gun owners is that they'll go out into the desert, take out all kinds of garbage like old TVs, appliances and all kind of other shit to shoot up and just leave it there as trigger trash. Or worse, they'll come out with spray paint, draw up massive targets on pristine rocks and I do mean HUGE, like 4'-6' across like you're trying to hit the broad side of a barn or something, and then shoot them up. I mean, it's the desert, right? Who gives a shit about that place!

Here are a few shots of what I'm talking about.

People like this are pieces of shit - plain and simple. I really do hate them.

People purposefully shooting at rocks? One day they may just receive their Darwin award from it.

Now that I’m happy to have never seen… yet.

Paper ain’t much more than paint and does a hell of a lot better at allowing you to assess your accuracy. Plus when I go out there I bring all steel because half the fun of shooting is the “PING” sound of my excellence. Lol

this^ and a roller magnet to pick up the brass, took all of 10 minutes to leave the area somewhat clean

edit: steel, not brass

I know there are other side by side threads on the forum already but I just wanted to say how much I'm really starting to hate them or at least, a lot of the people who own and drive them. As much as I want to convince myself that it's all in my head and or that the ones that are annoying as hell are just the outliers, I just keep coming across so many time and time again that are total douche bags.

Over the weekend, Cindy and I spent a lot of time out in the Mojave Desert and so, we decided to just stay in a hotel there so that we could maximize our time. And, while we checked into a nice Holiday Inn surrounded by other hotels, gas stations and restaurants, there were a number of side by sides everywhere and probably because of the Thanksgiving week. That said, my attention was draw to them not because they were simply there but rather, because they were BLAIRING their sound systems so loud that you could hear them through our closed windows and even over the traffic on the Interstate. ALSO, rather than just driving them to and from wherever they felt they needed to go around the parking lot and nearby street, they were TEARING across everything at ridiculous speeds.

Now granted, we were in SoCal and so that could be a big part of the exceeding douchbagginess I was seeing but honestly, I see shit like this everywhere and it sucks. To me anyway.

Okay, here's one that really bugs the shit out of me. I really hate it when you're at a hotel or even a restaurant with an outdoor eating area and they have signs everywhere that clearly state, "NO SMOKING" and some douchebag lights up a joint anyway because he/she believes it's not the same thing. And really, it's not like I'm anti-weed but really, the shit stinks. If I'm in a cigar bar, hooka lounge some old Vegas casino, that's one thing - I know what I'm getting myself into and know it's gonna stink. But these self-serving, self-important pot heads who think they have some kind of god given right to put everyone else out just so that they can get high, yeah, they really just suck.
Will be interesting to see how this turns out. I sure hope pot stores don't start popping up on every corner.

This new classification is opening the door to the banking industry and also changes the tax implications when it was classified as schedule I.
They might not pop up at every corner but this may push the rest of the states to open it up. We already have dispensaries everywhere in Pa - just need a prescription for anxiety & you're good to go.

When it was legalized in Colorado, it turned into a nightmare. Pot stores on nearly every corner and homeless campsite right nearby. Crime went up too, primarily pot business vs pot business. A lot of money in it. I couldn't care less if people smoke it in their own homes, but it changed the local culture negatively when it became legal.

I think Colorado was predisposed for that to happen - They've always been a hub for the counter-culture. I'm always amazed when I'm in Colorado how many hippies are there.

It’s pretty much that way already here. Some of them are complete with drive thru windows.
Every town in New Mexico that we drive through has at least one dispensary on the main road. Usually they are painted bright green. Some of them do have drive through windows.

Some people smoke pot right outside the hotel entrance.
