Pet Peeves - What Pisses You Off?

The language thing really does piss me off. If someone from the US moved to a different country the people there would EXPECT them to learn the language and treat them badly if they didn't.
But when they move here they expect us to learn their language. I have no issue with someone who has recently migrated and they don't know English as long as they are trying. In my position we have a lot of workers who do not know English. Among them are two types:
1. Working hard to learn and getting better all of the time.
2. Don't try, and NEVER intend to do so. These are the people that act all pissy when I am trying to help them with something but I don't speak spanish. I wish I could get away with ripping into them but I would probably loose my job.

The thing about the first group is they are all ages and all backgrounds. I have worked with people in their late fifties who are working hard to learn English. So age is not an excuse....

If you move to a country that speaks a different language...LEARN THE F_ING LANGUAGE!

One of the things I find most admirable is what a friend of mine from Syria did. She immigrated here nearly 20 years ago because she wanted what this country had to offer and barely spoke English. She legally gained citizenship and pursued higher education. She now holds a master's in English and is a ELL professor at our local community college teaching English to other immigrants. I met her shortly after she moved here and was working at a local convenience store I used to get gas at all the time. She also worked for everything and never took advantage of gov programs with the exception of college financial aid. The open boarder policy, people refusing to speak English, and lazy people expecting gov handouts drive her nuts. Truly American now....haha.
 
Utah drivers, they have got to be the worst drivers, even over Florida and Texas!

Been here 2 months and have yet to see anyone making a RH turn stop for a stop sign or a red light unless there is a car directly in front of them and even then I have seen many near accidents and 2 accidents because they tried to "thread the needle" of the car that just went by and the one directly behind it.

It must really piss them off when I come to a complete stop to make a right turn because as soon as I go, the cars behind me flow as if I also stopped for them and the light turned green.

Stop lights, what's the number of cars that can run the red light before the fucking cops take action, cop stopped next to me, 1st in line at the crosswalk, light turns green for us but 4 cars run the red light and the cop doesn't do shit... he was at the crosswalk and could've easily flipped his lights as everyone was still stopped!

Before this rant, car made a left turn out of a driveway into the turn lane next to me and instead of letting me get past, he sped up and cut me off.
I came close to pit maneuvering him when I realized the shit he was about to pull, and glad I remembered my age because I would have followed him into the apartment complex where he pulled into.

Fucking entitled cyclists, we should be allowed to put them into the wall. I used to ride miles growing up here and we were expected to obey the rules of the road with motorists, when did they begin getting treated above the motorists' laws, must be some entitled asstards in the position to push these changes.

I'll do my best to not end up putting someone into the wall because if it wasn't for the entitled fucktards, Utah is a great place to be.
