good luck with that. i had set of youkons that were bad from the factory, again installed by a very accomlished technition, gears were set up ccorrectly, they told me to pound sand. mine too were only a mile if that of use. View attachment 164731 as you can see on mine still had the gear set up grease on it. both sets front and rear were not hardened but youkon said it was installed wrong, interestingly enough installed a set of g2 gears from alloy, no issues, same guy set them up too.
Should be getting geared soon, and going with yukon cuz thats what my guy uses. Hopefully I get a good set. I will mention this to him tho, since I did buy a set of their rear shafts for my last jeep which bent after 1 wheeling trip and they didnt want to warranty them.
I went with Yukon 4.88's about 6 weeks ago and haven't had any issues. I'm glad you mentioned the issues you had with the rear shafts. What brand did you go with after the Yukons bent?
I ended up getting another set and not having any issues that I know of. For the new jeep when I need new shafts I will be going with Ten Factory. I went yukon mainly because thats what my local shop sells and had him install them....I do know Cozdude was talking to a guy at the quadratec tent even after I bent my set and the guy was saying he went through maybe 8-10 sets or yukons or something like that (they dont like to warranty rubicon shafts the same as std ones btw) and he then switched to ten factory and had no issues after that. I mean any shaft can bend, but since I only had maybe 500 miles on my set I was mad. When my shop called the guy on the phone goes "well he was probably drifting or something and hit a curb"....lol.
Good to know. I don't know if there's any benefit to replacing my rubicons rear shafts yet, but if I do I'll go with Ten Factory. And based on what the tech said about you drifting in your jeep, I think I'll just avoid Yukon all together now.
