What was done to your rig this week?

Reid knuckles, painted my tie rod and drag link, replaced a few grease boots and test fit the new tires

Looks great!

Found a local shop and dropped the JLU off for the cylinder 3 misfire, they called and told me they swapped the plug, coil, fuel injector to different cylinders, still getting misfire on 3 at higher rpms.

Time for further investigation, they will remove the valve covers and take a look, also told me the noise I thought was coming from the driver side is actually on the passenger side - cylinder 3 side.

They'll get back to me on Monday to let me know what they've found.
Ugh, hope it’s a simple fix.

Time for a leak down check

Got the Jeep back, so quiet and full rpm range ready

Cylinder 5 lobe was also worn and ready to make its debut of a misfire.

Some of these lobes are not like the others:

It's nuts. I've worked in the auto industry a long time and I've never seen cam lobes wear down so deep like these 3.6s. Nearly all of them do it. I really wish they built shit like they used to.

I'm thinking my rush to winterize may not have been the best decision.
Since the coating remains fluid, this is what happens after a long trip of pretty much 80 mph the whole way.
I'm going to take some Degreaser and power wash it at the diy car wash, hopefully I can clean off a lot of the areas where I don't want it.
