EV Awesomeness

Love this YouTube channel, Veritasium… most of it goes over my head but I usually learn a lot.

This episode is a very interesting history of lithium batteries, and the reason they catch fire so easily.

Someone was nice enough to bring a dumpster on the Rubicon

For those without Facebook:

Anybody missing their cybertruck on Cadillac Hill?
Edit, From another group -
Here is the story that I know about it: they started at loon Lake early Monday morning, and they made it to the springs by Wednesday. They broke five tire rods between that route, and several Cv shafts.
They made it into Rubicon Springs with 7% left and had to wait for the Jeep jamboree guys to turn their generator on so that they can charge it. That took a whole day and they left Rubicon Springs.
They had a support Jeep with them helping them winch it out of the way. You have to remember that this is the first vehicle mass produced that is 100% steer by wire, meaning there is no direct connection between the steering wheel and the wheels, turning meaning, this means that when the steering rack was freaking out, he had no control over it even with manually plugged the steering wheel wouldn’t go because there’s no connection.
The steering rack is broken, as is the rear axle.

[deleted vid link]

didn't watch it but in case someone wants to see the carnage I'm assuming occurred.

I changed my mind and deleted the link. The a-hole brought the dumpster and caused delays and annoyances for people that legitimately spend hard earned time and money on a hobby they love. I don't want to give any support, even passive, to the pervasive invasion of click bait influencers gunking up the works for people trying to have a good time in the name of fame and notoriety.
