Random Internet Shit you've come across

It does but honestly a lot of blame lies with the parents. When we moved years ago we left the Catholic school our children were enrolled in as well but since we were moving to a safe rural area we figured they’d be ok in government school. Well first back to scool night and parent teacher conferences we were the only parents in the scool. ALL DAMN DAY. We got there late due to work and ETC. Every teacher was the same story ā€œ your the first parents I’ve seen all dayā€. Now at the ā€œprivateā€ Catholic school we’d be lucky if we got a chance to talk to the teachers as every parent of every student was there. Our son stayed in government school as he was taking college level cousrses and was actually learning. Our daughter on the other hand we moved to a very small private Baptist school. Every parent teacher night at the Baptist school was well attended. Government school not so much

Totally agree with you

My lovely wife has been teaching for 20+ years and has pointed out that her most successful students all have one thing in common- parents who give a fuck and participate in the education. The most important component of the teacher, parent, and student triad is the parent.

Too many parents believe the Gov bullshit that it’s ā€˜the school’s job to educate the kids’. Kids show up for kindergarten not being able to write their own name, not knowing the alphabet, never having read a book or having had one read to them. Many parents don’t read themselves and do not even have books in their homes.

The culture of ignorance is the issue.

I personally believe there should be no Gov schools. It should all be private and you should be required to pay for it. Schools should be able to refuse kids for lack of performance just as parents should be able to pick schools based on performance. Free Market. Talk about taking ownership- that would do it. Painful? Yes! It appears we need some pain to fix things.

Do some research on the purpose of so called ā€˜Public Education’ and the proponents of it. It was never about your kid, it was to serve the so called ā€˜greater good’ and to make your kids subservient.

Feel free to move this to the ā€˜Rabbit Hole’. šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

It seems that Public Education evolved from the humble beginnings of all able-bodied men in the town getting together and building the school house. And everyone contributed in order to pay the schoolmaster.

Somewhere since then, public education became a disjointed psuedo-government function which answers to the demands of government regulators rather than the parents.

So The People did create public education, but lost control of it.

Robyn can confirm this too. And, agreed, government should be totally out of the education business.

BTW, a Ma Deuce IS an assault weapon.......

Not technically. Assault weapons were invented by zee Germans. Defined by the military as a weapon capable of full auto fire that uses an ā€˜intermediate cartridge’. They basically invented about everything worthwhile in warfare. šŸ˜‚

The world’s first true ā€˜Assault Weapon’ is the StG 44.

The dirty commies copied the principle and the AK was born.

The BMG does not fire an intermediate cartridge (but I still want my own!).
