A Noob from DFW checking in.
I just stumbled across this forum and am glad that I did. It looks like a great place to find news and events and chat.
I haven't officially picked up my JK yet, but should have it by the end of the week or beginning of next. Long story short, I made the mistake of buying a Cherokee from Allen Samuels Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep in NRH. After numerous problems with the transmission and a leak that flooded my driver side floor board numerous times they are taking it back under lemon law and I am getting the Jeep I wanted in the first place.
Moral of the story, Buy what you want in the first place. Also, Don't buy anything from Allen Samuels in the Mid Cities (they are soon to be Auto Nation). Worst customer care, sales and service dept that I have had ANYWHERE
. I went to them because I bought my first Jeep (2005 TJ) from their Alliance location and had a great experience with both the sales and service. Definitely not the case this time around.
Hopefully I didn't just violate any of the forum rules. If I did I apologize. I just wanted to share a little of my story. I am REALLY looking forward to picking up my new JK as soon as Chrysler is done with all of the paperwork. I want to get out and have some fun, meet some people, and spend some time getting lost and muddy. :rock:
