Used headlights?

I found a guy local on CL selling JW Speaker 8700 Evolution headlights and the 6145 foglights for $500. Says they were only run for two months, but I know I have no way of knowing that. It is a heck of a deal if they are in good shape. I would also have to buy the bracket for my '14 "X" bumper, so would be looking at $550 total. Would you ever buy used headlights? Thanks.
 
Yeah, I'd want to see them work. Install is 15 min so I'd just install them and if they work, score them.

I buy a lot of used stuff, got my Truklite headlights for $250 and they work great. Just had to clean them a little bit

If you look, you can find the Evolution J series that don't require an anti flicker for less than 500 new. I don't think I'd pay anywhere near that for some used ones...

Agreed, but he's saying he can buy the headlights and the fogs for $500. That's not a bad deal at all - as long as they are true JWSs.

Yeah I would never pay that much just for the headlights. I originally didn't want to go the JW route because of the more "Euro" look, I was going to get KC or Trucklites. But with both of them I think it's worth a look, I know they are good headlights.
