The alternator seems to be operating normally between 13 to 14 volts, I hate this start-stop system absolutely hate itAlternator? Would have to put a meter on your battery and check charging voltage
I’m on my originals but I’ve always heard to replace both. No idea though if this is your issue.I replaced the auxiliary battery within the last 3 months because it had failed, the alternator seems to be putting out like it usually does between 13 and 14 volts
That's on the to-do list as soon as I get to my destinationI know you've probably done this, but check all your connections at both batteries.
It doesn't take much play to mess everything up.
Damn! Does PA have a lemon law?Haven't posted about it but my daughters JL (Badger) has been in the shop for 2-1/2 months with an unsolvable electrical issue. Donated to the dealership retirement fund twice - $1400 once & $800 and was assured it as fixed. Went to pick it up the second time and it had the exact same issue. I picked it up with my trailer out of their lot and took it t the shop that built Gruff. He's stumped & consulting electrical gurus to no avail.
Was getting the start/stop message - I thought it was the batteries and changed both - didn't do anything. Next issue was the Christmas light effect. Last time I attempted to drive it the fucking power steering went totally out & I almost drove off the road going around a sharp corner. Anyone else had that happen? It's 100% worse than a manual steering vehicle - it's like trying to turn the steering wheel with the engine off. And then we finished the act by not even allowing me even shift it out of park. So it's sitting. I'd consider telling her to dump it but it's stuck.
