    3.6 knocking sound?

I disconnected everything from the fuse box when I realized I never tightened the red wire on the fuse box that comes from the positive terminal. I'm a dummy. She works now.

Yep, removed and threw those away. Also, forgot to mention the jeep is completely dead. No dash lights or anything.

    3.6 knocking sound?

Waiting for triple A to show up and give me a jump. Was thinking of heading to Autozone right after to test the battery

    3.6 knocking sound?

Guys, I need help. My battery is completely dead. I am not sure if I messed up here with a possible ground cable. I know for a fact some ground wire was connected to the body but when I put everything back together I could not find what was connected here. I connected that black wire to the...

    3.6 knocking sound?

Took me about two full days. Started late Thursday evening and all day Friday and Saturday. It kicked my butt, mostly cause it was hot. But yeah, rockers, lifters and spark plugs. My cams looked good - found the bad rocker but it only wore out the edges of the cam, the center of the cam lobe was...

    3.6 knocking sound?

Happy to report she’s alive and well. Purrs like a kitten. Only problem I have now is that the AC doesn’t work. Trying to figure out if I missed something

    3.6 knocking sound?

I am going to replace all the rockers and lifters this weekend. Hoping I don't need to replace any cams. I have Fri-Mon completely off, so I should be done by Monday. Will let you guys know how it goes LOL

    3.6 knocking sound?

So, I’ve done the replacement of the oil cooler myself and it took me a little over a day to complete. That being said, how much harder would this job be? I feel like I could do it myself.

    3.6 knocking sound?

Any ideas of what this might be? 140k miles, oil change always on time. I took it for a 4 hour road trip and this happened. Oil levels are good.

Popping noise coming from Pitman arm

Not a dropped pitman arm. And forgot to note I have a sector shaft brace - no shifting in the area, I also retorqued all the bolts.

Popping noise coming from Pitman arm

Recently I have noticed a popping sound coming from the pitman arm when turning the wheels left while stationary. I don't hear the sound when rolling though. I had my wife turn the steering wheel while I was under there and I can hear/feel the pop coming from the Pitman Arm, not entirely sure if...

    2016 JKU Transmission Temp

I just did a transmission fluid and filter change and now when I read the dash it says if I'm on the highway going 70 mph it hits 172-174 easily and stays there, at stop lights I have seen it go up to 176 or 179. I realize that these are not crazy temps by any means but it is weird how they are...

    2016 JKU Transmission Temp

Hi all, I need some guidance. I hardly ever check my transmission temps, but I have never really seen it go past 172. This morning on my commute I noticed go as high as 190 while I was idling at a red light. After that It didn’t drop below 180. Is this normal? Should I be worried? What does...

    Driveline Vibrations

UPDATE: ITS FIXED!! I am so freaking happy! Okay so i adjusted the lower CAs to bring the pinion down a bit. My DS is at 9 degrees and my pinion is now at 7. I took it for a drive and the vibes were a lot better 55-60 but the vibes were still pretty annoying above 70. When i got back i...

    Driveline Vibrations

Thanks guys. Going to spend this weekend trying to get to the bottom of this. The one thing i have not been able to do is adjust the pinion angle. My upper control arms are as short as they go. My pinion is about 1 degree higher than the driveshaft. I keep seeing from multiple sources that it...

    Driveline Vibrations

So I'm guessing my last options here are to look into the T-case and pinion flanges? Bad gear setup? It didn't vibrate when I ran it with just the front shaft, but then again the rear diff was not under load.

    Driveline Vibrations

I believe my pinion angle is .5 degrees higher than my driveshaft. I've been told it should be at zero and I've also been told it should be 1-2 degrees lower 🙃

    Driveline Vibrations

Now that you mention all this, I did leave out an important detail. After i got my gears installed, i went through the break in process, did the initial heat/cool cycles like i was supposed to. Then after the first 200 miles of driving it easy, i got it up to hwy speeds which is when i initially...
