    Show Off Your Guns!

....And a quick update on my new drop leg holster (thanks again WJCO!). Immediately figured out why you put a few stitches in the top of the holster. It flops around quite a bit. But from what I can tell, the stitches should resolve it. I'll post another update when it's stitched up tomorrow.

    Show Off Your Guns!

I don't know whether this has already been covered elsewhere in the thread but... Speaking of IWB, I've heard a lot of people are going to appendix carry these days. I haven't tried it yet, and yet it sort of creeps me out for no good reason. I've also heard the draw cycle is much more...

I bet the fireball from that short barrel lights up the whole area when you shoot it at night... 😅

That's a great design too! I'm a little shocked at the prices... initially thinking I'd have to spend $200 to get into a decent one but these are both way cheaper! I just ordered the one WJCO posted but I may go ahead and try this one too and compare both. Thanks!

Awesome!! Thank you so much for the help! Just looked into Taigear and they're very reasonably priced too, so I can try one without breaking the bank. Also definitely like the fabric design since it'll be a lot quieter. Just ordered the last lefty they had on hand. I'll post a quick review...

    Show Off Your Guns!

That's great news. My main concern with a drop leg is just constantly feeling the weight of the gun with every stride. But if you didn't have trouble with a gun that size then my lil' ole plastic 10mm shouldn't cause a problem. 😅 Looking forward to pics of that beast! I'm not sure which...

    Show Off Your Guns!

It's partly the draw I don't like. And, I like to have access to other stuff there. I know it works... just don't find them personally comfortable. I carried a .357 revolver that way for awhile and even hated that little thing.

    Show Off Your Guns!

I need some advice... I carry a Gen 3 Glock 20 on my hip whenever I hit the hiking trail here in AK. Problem is, any sort of backpack with a waist strap or hip pad tends to interfere. I've played with the idea of a chest rig (even though I'm not a fan) but this gun is just too big... and I'm...

IMO, the arab peninsula became our problem on 9/11. The fact that all that sand is not currently a giant sheet of glass today indicates we have not solved it correctly. Edit: I know I'm over simplifying... lol.

Thank you!! I'll check them out! We live in Eagle River... about 20 miles south of Wasilla, but our house is up into the mountains a bit. Tok is definitely going to pose some challenges!

    GARDENING Thread

So far, we can grow the heck out of rhubarb & raspberries, and we've had some success with mint and certain types of chives but that's about it. With a greenhouse our options would be greatly expanded but we'll have to get out of our current house (that's in the works) before it happens.

Wow... It's amazing to see all the special skills this group has! And now another one to add to the list!! We have been growing a few small things because we are pretty space and shade constrained for now. But our biggest challenge is the fact that we are zone 3. Does anyone have advice on...
