'11 2-door Long Arm Upgrade and Evo Rock Rails

I have an '11 2-door with the rock rails welded on. I was looking at upgrading to Evo Double-D long arms, but it looks like the rock rail would have to be modified as the rear mount for the rock rail is right where the lower control arm mounts. Is there another option? What have others done in...

Wiring Rigid dually or D2xl lights to factory fog light switch?

Try it. If it doesn't work then use the factory setup to power a relay that switches power run from the battery to your new lights. The relay should require very little power to actuate. The circuit should look something like this diagram. Instead of tapping into the high beams, tap into the...

Which locker for new PR 44?

I have an '11 Rubicon with 35's and looking to go to 37's. Need some help choosing the correct path. On my factory axle I added LCA skids, gussets and sleeves. Also has 4.88 gears. I'd think the axle would be a great upgrade for non-Rubicon Jeep. If it is a good upgrade option for somebody...

Rubicat 2.0 - EVO DTD / ProRock 60 Rear / ATX Chamber Pro II Wheels

Is this mount available with a long arm upgrade kit that works with my EVO bolt-on coil-over shocks? I see them in the high-clearnce kit, but not Double-D.

    Coilover Specs, Pics and Questions

35's, Bushwhackers You will likely bottom out occasionally. Need to set the coil timing to pick up the stiffer spring earlier. With nothing in the jeep but my tool bag and some recovery gear I have about 1.5 inches of up travel available. I ride on the bottom coil when empty. This minimizes...

    Ham Radios?

Where would you recommend a newbie start researching HAM radios for use in the Jeep? Any recommendations on what to look for or avoid? I am interested in one for longer range communications on the trail, such as in an emergency where we need to reach out for help beyond the range of the CB. I...

So you're on the Rubicon Trail, and BAM!!!

I recently went through with a similarly equipped 2-door. Keep off the skinny pedal and you will likely be fine without spare parts, but I did use the winch once on the steps leading away from Buck Lake. I think they were just too tall for 35" tires. If you plan to be aggressive, maybe your...

    Air compressor help

Viair is an excellent brand. I think your just asking a lot from their small compressor. I use the small one (P85?) in my car and as a backup for the Jeep. It works great on small tires. For the Jeep we have the 400 mounted on-board, but they have larger compressors available as a portables too...

    EVO Rock Sliders

Finish like he said ^^ I don't see why you would use sheet metal screws. You will then have to blindly weld in the holes you made in the frame. Use a couple C-clamps and jack stands to hold them in place. Tack weld and then let the sparks fly after your sure they are where you want them. Even...

Drive-in mine near 395 in SoCal?

Looking for the location of the mine that you can drive into. Eddie took pictures of the LoD rear bumper lights in there. I know it is just east of the 395 and maybe close to Bishop. Looking to drop by on the way home from Tahoe. Thanks for your help.

what do you do to get by without your doors on longer trips?

What do you do to get by without your factory doors when you head out to hit the trails for a week or so? I have a soft top, but would like to be without the doors on the trails. For instance, from SoCal through the Rubicon and back in July. There is a good chance of encountering rain at some...

Top 5 Tools for Your Garage...

Everyone has the hand tools. The welder and grinder have been great money savers. I welded on my sleeves, c-gussets, track bar brackets, and rock rails. I probably saved $1000 by doing them myself and easily paid for my HF GMAW/MIG welder. The sawzall came in handy for the RockStar installation.
