    Having major Steering problems

Thanks everyone, rides like a champ now. I think all was good until I changed from 315 tire to 37's, and the larger tire loosened to Tie Rod end. One loose Tie Rod end can really make a difference. Have a Great 4th happy trails thks Ken

    Having major Steering problems

Update!! I re-seated all 4 the tie rods using a box wrench to the next cotter key hole so I could see if it moved! Yup! driver side did not seat well. Fix it and I drove it about 3 miles max 45 mph and feels a lot better. I know the Ram assist is working that's for sure I had this issue before...

    Having major Steering problems

Gonna check the Rod ends today. I'll re torque them. There is no wobble just too easy to oversteer I was thinking it might be because of the Flip Drag link, the Barns Drag link is straight there is no hockey stick bend. off to the Rod Ends To check the Toe I used two 3 foot levels bunged to the...

Did the work myself, just got done with 2 other Jeeps added PR44 and 60 rear no issues and Dana Spicer 44 with Barns Alum steering had oversteer on that one but I changed the Caster to 6 deg today and drove like a dream...

All was okay until I add 37 tires then my steering got real scary made it easy to oversteer and darts way too fast (dangerous). PSC CYLINDER ASSIST STEERING KIT

Just a FYI, The install of the PSC went great took most of the day. I didn't need to trim or buy anything but I did have an issue with the the Ram pushing to far in both directions causing the aluminum tie rod to flex (a lot), I measured the piston travel and made a spacer nut on the lathe (same...

    PSC CYLINDER ASSIST STEERING KIT

jeeeep, Keeping caps for emergency is a great Idea. I talked to my friend who is Calf Sherif and he said the PSC is okay to have because it still has direct steering if you have a failure in the hydro. He said if I was to go full Hydro without a steering box is where I could maybe get in...

    Re-Gearing

Agree I think my 37's are stressing the power train. so its getting 4.88s, but think 4.10 and 315s are a great match. Your BFG are a lot shorter than you think search in this Forum The Ultimate TRUE TIRE SIZE Database It has some cool stuff Happy Trails

    Re-Gearing

I had 315's BFG's KO2 on my 2017 JKUR with 4.10 GR loved it. I just added 37's with the 4.10 gears, just ok but miss that speed with the 315's. The jeep still goes ok but I am going to 4.88s next month.

    Homemade JL Rock Sliders

CalSgt I was asking how well JKJasons held up and what he used for material. I made mine a few years ago our of 2x6x.25wall but I think they stick out too far for my next trip to the Rubicon Trail. I got a bunch of 2x2x.25wall and was going to remake them just for the trip because my wife likes...
