What is this leak? How do I fix it?

Last line of OP's post says: "BTW, this is a 2019 4 door with a manual transmission, if that is helpful."

    Fishing Jeepers...Post Up Your Pics

100%. I have a 2wt 6' rod, a 2wt 7' rod, a 3wt 7.5' rod, and all the usual suspects up to a 9.5' 6wt. The 2 and 3 weights and the 6 weight get the most use. The 9.5' 6wt can roll cast a heavy double nymph rig with weights and an indicator without even blinking. But I still prefer the little...

    Fishing Jeepers...Post Up Your Pics

What type of trout is that? Here's one from this past Friday. After work. 16 miles from my house. It's bitter sweet though, since the little river is one of the hardest places I've ever fished because it is usually a zoo with guides and "extreme" fly guys. But in the early season when no one...

Patagonia Tires - I didn't buy them because of social media

I had the original Pat M/Ts on my JL in a ~35" size (measured 34 1/4"). And they balanced just fine. But... they were fucking scary on the pavement in the rain. The rear end would randomly let lose in corners. And there was basically no braking traction on wet pavement. That said, though, they...

Someone just tried to assassinate Trump

I don't understand how these other countries feel like we owe them something. We are giving them a taste of their own medicine and they act like those people who lay down on the freeway to protest oil or whatever.

YEA or NAY : Computer Controlled Electronic Jeep Components

There are a few things in modern vehicles that I like; ABS; Fuel Injection; Power Windows when I have the factory doors on; Air Conditioning. Everything else -- like VVT; all the nanny safety stuff like traction control (one of my least favorite); the stupid things like throwing the vehicle in...

ALL in the Name of SAVING the PLANET

Interesting. When I go to that site it shows "We're currently experiencing a temporary technical issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible."

    Motive Products Power Bleeder

I just bought a Motive about 6 months ago and wish I had done it sooner in life. I also bought one of these brake pedal holders so I can use my JScan to do the ABS bleed procedure on my own. I highly recommend doing the ABS bleed. It is the only thing that got rid of the double-pump I have had...

Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

Looks like a fun project. Paint that with the used motor oil from your oil changes. It will bead the water off for about a year. And its not as dark as one would think. I did it on a bridge over a creek in my previous houses. Worked great.

Desperate for a 4x4 shop near Loyalton, CA (or Truckee or Reno)

I too have often felt like the steering is doing something weird in the JL. I have pondered that the software senses something it doesn't like and then over compensates. Then it just snowballs from there. Though I have a hard time convincing myself that the software would try to decide it knows...

Desperate for a 4x4 shop near Loyalton, CA (or Truckee or Reno)

That is why I am asking here. I know there can be some both good and bad info on the internet, and that is my only source of truth about the JLs. But I like to verify by asking people that I perceive has having way more off road experience than me. I have lifted a nissan frontier, and of all...

Desperate for a 4x4 shop near Loyalton, CA (or Truckee or Reno)

I forgot to mention that I am still getting vibrations at certain speeds. I can feel them in the steering wheel. I firmly believe this to be related to some heavy wet snow that got packed up into the wheels and scraped off some weights. I will be making an appointment next week to get the wheels...

Desperate for a 4x4 shop near Loyalton, CA (or Truckee or Reno)

Every component has been checked for play and every single fastener has been loosened and torqued to spec. Both the lift and steering are too new to have play anyway. The amount of toe-in and castor is the only logical next step. It is cited all over the Internet that toe and castor are common...

Desperate for a 4x4 shop near Loyalton, CA (or Truckee or Reno)

It is my (limited) understanding that the control arm drop brackets get the UCA and LCA more parallel to the ground which supposedly helps with bump steer/wobble and brake/acceleration dive.

Desperate for a 4x4 shop near Loyalton, CA (or Truckee or Reno)

I assume you are referring to the brackets that drop the LCAs on the frame side? I do not have those. I haven't decided what I am doing with the lift yet. But I might be doing a 3.5" MetaCloak Game Changer to replace the Rancho 2.5" full kit (came with decent adjustable LCA/UCA, Track Bars ...)...

Desperate for a 4x4 shop near Loyalton, CA (or Truckee or Reno)

So, after checking for play in all of the the suspension and steering components and finding none, I went ahead and loosened every end bolt. Then re-torqued each of them to spec. I then checked the toe with the angle aluminum clamped to the rotor method. It was toed in a lot more than I thought...

    Wheels and tires.

Are they ICON or ION? I didn't realize ICON made a old-school jeep wheel with the circular holes. I went with procomps for that very reason. EDIT: Ah, ION 171 -- google told me the truth.
