If they stick, they got bent putting the carrier/dog clutch in wrong. Yes but the locker itself 99% of the time is fine, it’s the magnet/dog clutch that fails and are $110 on Amazon.

Don't think its a huge concern at all. We use the Dorman replacements all the time with no issue. I'd still prefer the aluminum over the plastic as it will crack again. I just got one in so took a look. It's tech "one seal" but yes, it is only divided by the seal itself. I wouldn't be concerned...

The factory rear is a torsion bar, no need to disconnect it and they work perfectly fine. I’m surprised you enjoy driving it with none at all, that’s a lot of body roll.
