Figured out that my passenger LCA adjustment nut was hitting in the mount. After grinding away some clearance, I tried this again. Much better results this time. Now enough of the poser pics and to get this thing out on some trails!!
Played around with the hi-lo while it was available during lunch. Kind of surprised at how much room is left in the wheel well at full bump. Have around 2" of clearance. I'll play around with it some more tomorrow when I bring in my tape measure...couldn't find one to save my life today LOL!
Had a chance before it started raining to reposition my rock lights and move the timing rings up (3rd time so far). Since the install it's settled at 3.75" of lift and perfectly level. The EVO skids make a narrow shadow...but I can live with that. My twill Bestop Supertop also came in (box...
Can't believe I haven't ran across this thread yet
I'll take a better pic tonight after I finally wash off 10 lbs of grinding grit and dust. Anyway, here's mine
EDIT: Guess I lied because I just went through this and found my old post LOL! The little green arrow wasn't highlighted...
Burning the midnight oil...but she's back on the road. Drives awesome! Still have to get everything dialed in. Caster was sitting right at 4.5* after a few trips around the block. By the time I got home from the shop, I was amazed at how much it had settled. I'll get it twisted up with the hi-lo...
Thanks for the kind words guys!! Been a long time coming to be able to do this.
Unfortunately, I had a machine go down this morning at work that I had to go in and fix. So I didn't get as much accomplished as I had planned...shit happens. I did finish up the front, rear rock stars are on...
Fronts are about done. Finished the brackets on the driver side. Just waiting on some paint to dry. Tomorrow going finish mounting the driver side, sway links, drag link flip, and lower control arms. Then on to the rear :)
Finally welded the sliders on tonight. I aligned and tacked them on the ground with a floor jack, then finished on the hoist. Happy with the low angle. I have too many vertically challenged people and work customers getting in my Jeep...so figured the step was a smarter idea.
Coilovers are...
The comparison pics of the ProSteer's vs. OEM ball joints Eddie has posted in the past is what sold me. Just installed mine this weekend in preperation for the 37's. I was surprised how loose the factory joints were after 25k miles with stock suspension and tires. Wasn't expecting much of a...
Burned on the gussets and lower control arm skids. Also installed the Dynatrac Prosteers and Ten Factory axle shafts. All I have to do is burn on the sliders and next weekend will be the coilovers :wings:
Another long day. All in all, a productive weekend. Today, while not Jeep related, I pulled the engine from my other project. Then went to the other shop, mounted a few tires, and did some priming. Paint tomorrow.
Getting some things done!!
Real happy with the headlights and fogs. Slight mishap with the plastic head light ring/bucket. I'll post some pics when I pull everything back apart. But for now I'm loving them! Tonight I installed the rear shafts and winch. I bent a flange awhile back at a local...
I always use my fog lights, so being too bright really isn't a concern of mine. I just installed the JWS fog lights last night and yes they're very bright. Only reason I bought them was to compliment the JWS headlights. We've been dealing with horrible fog in the mornings around here (Lake...
Thanks. The last few I've done I ran into zero issues? If I do I'll definitely keep the lubricant idea in mind.
Thanks. I'm really pleased with how they turned out!! :D Pictures don't do them justice.
Thanks!
Only had time tonight to primer the sliders. After I did that I quickly installed the JWS fog lights. Amazing how much light they put out! They over power the head lights.
Shitty pic with the florescent glare...but factory fog on the left.
Finally started painting stuff and preparing to install. Finished the rings tonight. Painting the sliders and skins tomorrow. Installing the winch, JW Speaker headlights/fogs, and hopefully rear axle shafts and front/rear drive shafts this weekend. I'm also building a 521" BBF engine along with...
After selling some stuff to my buddy to fast track his build...I ordered a bunch of replacements and a truck load of other parts. The UPS guy is going to hate me next Tuesday and Wednesday! But it's always nice when your email inbox looks like this
And the most important piece :)
