    Cordless Impact Gun?

I'd be looking at the IR W7150, Milwaukee 2763, or if you're a DeWalt fan the new DCF899HP2. IMO those are the best cordless impacts currently on the market.

    Cordless Impact Gun?

I'm honestly tempted to trade in my Snap-on 8850 for some other tools. It stays in my Jeep for emergencies only, and is rather expensive for that kind of life. In an emergency I'm fine with a $30 Pittsburg Pro (Harbor Freight) breaker bar. I tried cordless but for 1/2 I'm sticking to air...

    Hinrichs 2.0

For the winter months you can't beat a hard top. You're right, the stock hard top is not that much warmer. Insulation panels help out tremendously, though. I painted the entire inside black, then used insulation foam and wrapped with digital camo canvas. The temp finally dropped down to the 20's...

    Educate me... Winches

I came to the same conclusion myself. While it will probably work just fine, I couldn't pull the trigger on the platinum.

    Coil over gurus need help

I'm curious on the shock location with the Rebel kit and if their hoop puts the centerline of the upper shock mount lower than EVO's kit. I run my 12" coilovers at about 4" of lift with the supplied 4" bumps. It is no where near coil bind at full bump with room in the fender and about 2" of drag...

Here's the only pic of mine that you can see the relocate plate. I'm not even sure you can install these without moving the sway bar back...but it's a guess

    mounting a camera

I have 2 GoPro's. Most of the time I only use one next to my rear view mirror. I ran a USB around the window frame, so I could keep it plugged in and on WiFi to use the remote. Works great! I now have a mount on my new bumpers for the other camera. Only pic I have showing the GoPro. You can...

    What's in your humidor?

Haven't been here in awhile. Been smoking all sorts the last month or two. My main smoke has been these little Aging Room F55's. Great smoke! Also treated myself to some OpusX after completing this last phase of my build :D

Question for anyone who has installed their own c-gussets

I burned mine on with a Lincoln 210 MP mig and .035 wire...but was using 220v. With perfect penitration, I was running around 110-115 amps. So I don't see any reason why running on 110 wouldn't work. Edit: here's a few pics. Kind of tough to see with the fresh paint. The track bar bracket was...

winter items you keep in your jeep?

I keep a large ARB recovery bag, an old duffle bag, and a tool bag ready to go. I always have the recovery bag in the back. A folding shovel, bottle jack, and first-aid kit is always in the rear cubby. Been thinking about using a tote but the bags make it easy to grab what's needed. In the...

    Granite Rubicon Build

Finally had some time to put my inner fenders back in and wire up the Warn power interrupt. As I went to take off the positive wire from the terminal, to place on the relay, I realized the terminal was loose. Went to tighten it and the nut barely budged....as the stud snapped >:(. Probably going...

    Warn VR8000-S Question

My budget was soaked up quick with the last phase of my build. I contemplated saving some $$ and going with the M8000-S as well. Couldn't bring myself to buy a VR series. From the reviews I've read, the M8000 is a pretty good winch for the price. I decided to save a little bit longer and buy a...

    Winch cover or no?

Happened to me as well. I bought both the rope and neoprene cover for my Zeon. Planned on using the rope cover for summer, and the neoprene for winter. For the life of me I couldn't get the plastic cover on. I notched out the bottom to clear the thimble which helped, but still couldn't get the...

    Hinrichs 2.0

Got ya, thanks for the heads up on Eddie's remarks too. I'm hoping to get out to the local offroad park this weekend to see the real story. As of right now I'm thinking about taking 1" of material out of the rear block, and welding the top back on. That's the only spot I saw that would be close...

Trucklite or JW Speaker 8700 HEadlight replacements...

You'll be hard pressed to be able to find quality HID kits, with housings, for less than Truck Lite LED's. Well, for something that's reliable anyway. I thought about going that route and about the best you're going to do is around $500. Retrofit Source runs specials from time to time and you...
