Any suggestions on a GoPro? Looking at Hero4 Session

I've had good luck with the suction cup for low speed stuff. The key is placing it on a clean, smooth, and flat surface. I'll never trust it for high speed stuff again, after the seal compromised at the track with my Vette @ about 130. Ultimately costing me another $400 after it was ran over a...

Best skid plate setup ? Necessary ?

I'm running the ProTek system. Had it on the rack this weekend rotating tires and noticed some newly aquired rash from sliding off a rock...did their job just fine! Install pic

    Daily Living with 3.5" Lift?

I have my coilovers set at right around 3.5" of lift with 37's. I'm 5'11" and it's not terrible to get into without a step. My girlfriend is about 5' so I bought the low angle EVO sliders. They work great! For me, it completely eliminated dragging my feet across the rocker/sill. I put grip...

What was done to your rig this week?

Installed my CB finally. Temporary mount until I put in the RH cage. As luck would have it, I didn't even touch the antenna to get a 1.2-1.3 SWR.

Front and rear light installs 2016 JKUR

The cleanest way to do it, is having some sort of power distribution box. If you search here for "DIY sPod" you'll bring up an awesome thread showing how to build one. Aside from simplifying the wiring, it'll keep all the circuits properly protected. There's also the prebuilt Painless system...

To tint or not to tint

I feel naked without tint. The biggest thing is getting a quality film. Mine are 3M premium. Front doors are 15%, the rest is 5%.

MUDDY MONDAY - Show Us Your Jeep in the Sticky Stuff!!

I've posted this in other threads...might as well toss it in here too. I'm also not a fan of mud Biggest issue was the 10* temp this day. Everything turned to ice

Installed Poison Spyder Brawler and Warn M8000S

Looking good!! I've been super happy with this bumper. Before I installed mine, I tapped the fog light holes. Then just used some stainless socket head cap screws. Worked like a charm and the lights don't move at all.

Why's the difference in rear bumpers?

No problem! Glad the pics helped. It really is an awesome rear bumper. It was between this or going with the EVO carrier, but I wanted a little more protection for the traffic I deal with around here. No, the shackles didn't come with it. The tabs are welded on and ready, though.

Why's the difference in rear bumpers?

As mentioned if you run larger tires the full width can rub. With a shorty there's also less hanging out to catch when dropping off obstacles. If you're going to run flat or cut fenders, I personally think a shorty rear bumper looks the best. With full fenders they look a little weird, but not...

Torque Wrench - Is it trashed now?

Loosening doesn't hurt a thing. It's exceeding the limits that can cause damage. The problem with breaking loose fasteners like lug nuts, is many times the breaking torque is over 150 ft/lbs. Especially if they were blasted on with an impact carelessly. Many 1/2 torque wrenches only go up to 150...

Torque Wrench - Is it trashed now?

I've used my cheap torque wrenches in a pinch the way you have and they survived. Although, I never exceeded the limits of the wrench. Assuming this is a clicker type, they operate with a spring. If you went too much over the limit it could have caused some damage. Checking the torque on an...

Torque Wrench - Is it trashed now?

God that would be awesome/dangerous if they had stores!! Unfortunately, the franchisee's only run trucks. To my knowledge they'll only "calibrate" their Snap-on and Blue Point torque wrenches. Possibly CDI stuff, but I don't remember. One of my best friends sells Snap-on tools. Had him check...

Been a pretty boring year for us so far. Normally we have had at least 1 or 2 big dumps by now. Here are a few...most from yesterday with the local Jeep club. Just enough snow and ice to make things interesting

    Big boy engine!!

Cool build. I'm an LS guy but have spent quite a bit of time recently with the Hemi. They'll both make a ton of power, but the Hemi does cost a lot more. I don't have any dyno results from the Hemi saved, but none look like the graph's below. These are both small cam builds, with a nice set of...
