Find a new shop?I'm thinking of putting a leveling kit on my Superduty. The shop is adamant that after the leveling kit, I'll need the dual steering stabilizer kit too. Being a solid axle, like my Jeep, if the steering is dialed in, the steering stabilizer is mostly not even needed.
Am I missing something?

I purchased the truck specifically for towing my Jeep. The Jeep can make the 4 hour drive to Moab or Sand Hollow, my back isn't happy though. It's got the Tremor package which has heavier rear springs and doesn't squat with my trailer and Jeep on. However, because every vehicle we own has hit a deer, I put a Ranch Hand bumper on the front. Its so heavy that the front has dropped significantly, thus my reason for leveling with heavier springs.Lol, whats that have to do with a levelling kit?
I thought of doing this with my Ram but even with the air bag system, worried I'd end up with that retarded Carolina stance when towing. We've all seen it. I ended up not wanting to mess with the towing stability, esp since the wife tows a combo horse/camping trailer. If you don't tow much it shouldn't be a concern - even if you go crazy and only use one steering stabilizer
I don't own any trucks but if you're looking to put the front basically back to where it was before the heavy bumper, I see no reason why it would change any of the steering where it would require the dual stabilizers (though I've never understand any reason for dual other than $$$ and those that think they lookI purchased the truck specifically for towing my Jeep. Seems dumb for merely a leveling kit. I mean, I can't think of any setup I'd want that ugly looking dual stabilizer crap. Yep, I threw a Ranch Hand guard on mine as well. It's not the full bumper but is the full guard. They are heavy.I purchased the truck specifically for towing my Jeep.
