Wheel spacers

I really like the stock wheels on my 19 jlur. I want to use the apex steering kit. I'd have to use 1 1/2 wheel spacers.
I've heard good and bad on use. What's the opinion here?
why the apex? has the steering become that difficult with 35s?
2018 with 37s on beadlocks, stock steering works fine but when it goes, it's going to be PSC ram assist.
Apex seems like putting on a band-aid before there's an actual cut.

Then why you feel it's time to replace them and with way over the top components that you really don't need is beyond me. But hey, it's your Jeep and you're money and clearly, the later is burning a hole in your pocket (y)
I only want to buy once. And not keep wasting money. Maybe someday I'll get to wanting 40 or larger.

What is wanted to know is if wheel spacers are ok to run or just to hard on parts. Lots of either way on net. New tires in Nov and tire guy said don't do it.

LOL - based on my very limited experience, I can tell you that EVERYTHING breaks. Also, the more specialized and high end the component, the more they need to be services and paid attention to. But hey, what would I know.

So long as you buy a high quality spacer like the kind that Spidertrax makes AND you install it correctly, it should behave no differently than a set of new wheels with less back spacing. That said, they WILL cause your ball joints and unit bearings to wear out a bit faster, just like a set of new wheels with less back spacing.

both, they are ok to run but from experience in running them, it does cause additional/quicker wear on other parts depending on how your Jeep is used, usually ball joints and hubs.

Daily driving not as fast of wear, rock crawling - that in itself causes early wear even without spacers, high speed driving across desert roads and on and on.

It really depends on how hard you drive your Jeep with the spacers.

I suppose the solution for this (in order to plan in advance and only pay once) is to buy wider axles now, and avoid the minor issues caused by less backspacing (or a spacer). Are there replacement knuckles which help with the offset vs ball joint issue, and avoid needing the wider axels?

No need to buy wider axles, just wheels with proper backspacing/offset 🤷🏼‍♂️
