1980 CJ7 Crawler Build

Seats finally came in after being on back order since January. Got them in and the PRP harnesses and wow, what a difference it makes.

I also have had a switch panel for months and finally decided to throw it in, its fuse box is hard mounted to the fender, not in love with its location but there really wasn’t anywhere else that was reasonably accessible and I have new fenders on the list in the future so at that point I will revisit all of the wiring, for now it works and is accessible.

I mounted the fuse box to support rod next to the battery with a couple of these.

Finally got the jeep up into the mountains this weekend and it did great, drove it up and back as well.

Only “issue” was my speedometer cable broke, oh well. Other than that it did well, took on some very mild stuff as I want to put in one piece axle shafts in the rear before I really push it.

Great looking Jeep. 1 piece axles is the way to go on those CJ's. I broke quite a few back in the day. Those self splining hubs with a single Woodruff key don't take much to snap.
